titleOfInvention Orthopedic device for gait rehabilitation
abstract Orthopedic device (1) for gait rehabilitation, characterized in that it comprises: a) an elastic stocking (2) configured to fit firmly to the leg of a patient covering from the foot to the abdomen; b) a hip actuator (3) attached to the stocking (2) and configured to selectively cause flexion or extension of the patient's hip joint when wearing the stocking (2), wherein the hip actuator (3) it comprises: - at least one essentially vertical upper front cylinder (31) fixed to an abdominal portion of the stocking (2) and at least one essentially vertical upper rear cylinder (32) fixed to a lumbar portion of the stocking (2); - an upper piston (33) per upper cylinder (31, 32), where each upper piston (33) is pneumatically movable between an upper position and a lower position of each corresponding upper cylinder (31, 32), where the lower position is the rest position: and - one upper fiber (34) per upper piston (33), where each upper fiber (34) has an upper end fixed to each corresponding piston (33) and a lower end fixed respectively to a portion of quadriceps or a medial abductor portion (2), such that when an upper piston (33) moves to its upper position, the upper fiber (34) attached to said upper piston (33) pulls the quadriceps portion or the abductor portion, thus respectively causing flexion or extension of the patient's hip joint; and c) a knee actuator (4) attached to the stocking (2) and configured to selectively cause extension or flexion of the patient's knee joint when the stocking (2) is worn, wherein the knee actuator (4) it comprises: - at least one essentially vertical lower front cylinder (41) fixed to a quadriceps portion of the stocking (2) and at least one essentially vertical lower rear cylinder (42) fixed to an abductor portion of the stocking (2) ; - a lower piston (43) per lower cylinder (41, 42), where each lower piston (43) is pneumatically movable between an upper position and a lower position of each corresponding lower cylinder (41, 42), where the lower position is the rest position; and - a lower fiber (44) per lower piston (43), where each lower fiber (44) has an upper end fixed to each corresponding lower piston (43) and a lower end fixed respectively to a portion of tibia or a portion of calf of the stocking (2), such that when a lower piston (43) moves to its upper position, the lower fiber (44) fixed to said lower piston (43) pulls the tibia portion or the calf portion , thus causing respectively the extension or flexion of the patient's knee joint;
