abstract | The present invention refers to a method for simultaneous determination of antioxidants and/or anti-wear additives in lubricants, in particular amine, zinc dithiophosphate (ZDDP) and phenol. The method comprises the steps of:a) providing an electrolyte solution with a pH between 3and 10, preferably pH 6.5,b) combining the electrolyte solution, a sand composition and a lubricant to obtain a mixture,c) extracting the mixture, preferably by vortexing, to obtain an extracted solution,d) measuring at least an aliquot of the extracted solution by means of pulse voltammetry, preferably differential pulse voltammetry, and determining the amounts of antioxidants. |
