abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing cellulose-branched fluorinated acid esters (C-BRFA) by reaction of cellulose with a multibranched fluorinated carboxylic acid in presence of a mixed anhydride system trifluoroacetic acid/trifluoroacetic acid anhydride and cellulose-branched fluorinated acid esters obtained therewith, which can be useful for the preparation of waterproof-breathable films, coatings in textiles and food packaging.
