abstract Proposed are a naphthalene-based hydrogen storage material including a naphthalene group, the naphthalene-based hydrogen storage material being capable of being used as a hydrogen storage media for supplying hydrogen to a device using hydrogen such as a fuel cell and a hydrogen combustion device, and to a method of storing and releasing hydrogen using the same. The hydrogen storage material can exhibit a significantly high hydrogen capacity, and can have excellent cost competitiveness with the use of a low-cost organic compound which is commercially available in the art.
