abstract The present bioink comprises a first polymer coupled to a first protein and a second polymer coupled to a second protein, wherein the first protein and the second protein form a heterodimer upon irradiation with visible or infrared light in a specific wavelength range, which can be reversed upon irradiating the heterodimer with visible or infrared light in a second wavelength range, wherein the second wavelength range is different from the first wavelength range. The bioink enables a quick and reversible formation of hydrogels using cell-friendly light.
