abstract |
The present invention is related to a method and related device (10) for capturing carbon dioxide and converting the captured carbon dioxide to a chemical compound. In particular, the present invention is related to a method for capturing a carbon dioxide gas by contacting it with a liquid alkaline solution, which reacts with the carbon dioxide and converts it into (bi)carbonate, and including a further processing step to electrochemically convert the (bi)carbonate to an economically valuable chemical compound. |
