abstract | [Problem to be Solved] n Provided is a block copolymer used for an asphalt composition excellent in high softening point properties, high elongation properties, heat resistance stability, elongation recovery, compatibility, and high swelling rate properties. n [Solution] n A block copolymer (P) containing: na polymer block (a) mainly containing a vinyl aromatic monomer unit; and na polymer block (b) containing a conjugated diene monomer unit and a vinyl aromatic monomer unit, nwherein the block copolymer (P) has the following characteristics (1) to (6): n(1) a mass proportion TS of the vinyl aromatic monomer unit is 20 to 45% by mass; n(2) a mass proportion BS of the (a) is 15 to 35% by mass; n(3) a 5% by mass toluene solution viscosity is 5 to 40 mPa·s; n(4) a nitrogen content is 20 to 1000 ppm; n(5) the block copolymer (P) contains a block copolymer (C) having a structure containing two or more of the (a), and a mass proportion of the (C) is 50 to 100% by mass; n(6) a mass proportion (RS) of the vinyl aromatic monomer unit in the polymer block (b) according to the following formula is 3 to 23% by mass RS = TS − BS / 100 − BS × 100 |
