| abstract | In a first aspect, the present invention is directed to a flat belt (1, 6, 7) as an endless traction device suitable for conveyor belts, the flat belt having no fabric insert in the power transmission area (2) and possibly no fabric insert in the back (5) of the belt. In a further aspect, a method for producing a flat belt (1, 6, 7) as an endless traction means is provided. This process is a multi-stage process including the steps of forming a flat belt (1, 6, 7) with a base body and an endless tension member contained therein by means of a rotary vulcanization process and the subsequent shaping of at least part of the power transmission area (2) on the flat belt obtained by the rotary vulcanization process. In addition, drive means for conveyor belts comprising a flat belt (1, 6, 7) according to the invention are provided, as well as agricultural machines with a conveyor device with flat belts (1, 6, 7) according to the invention or conveyor belt set up for conveying agricultural crops. |
