The invention relates to the use of at least one cyclophane in a plastic scintillator, as an agent for discriminating between neutrons and gamma rays, as a substitute for the fluorophores which are used in plastic scintillators or as a complement to these fluorophores. Applications: all the fields in which it is desirable to identify the presence of neutrons and gamma rays in ionising radiation and, in particular, in the safety of property and people (safety of critical infrastructure, the checking of goods in circulation, etc.) and radiation protection of workers likely to be exposed to ionising radiation in the exercise of their professional activity. |
