A method for pre/treatment of paper pulp |
abstract |
A method for producing pulp suitable for dissolution of cellulose and hemicellulose from never-dried high viscosity paper pulp congaing metal ions and a method for producing a fiber spinning solution from cellulose and hemicellulose. According to the invention the pulp is brought into contact with endoglucanase to modify the pulp and the pH of thus obtained pulp is brought to a value of about 2-3 to remove the metal ions. The pulp is washed with water to raise the pH above 4, after which the consistency of the washed cellulose pulp is raised to at least 30 %. The moist modified pulp thus obtained can be dissolved in the liquid phase using a solvent, such as ionic liquid, to form a spinning solution. |
