The invention relates to a highly permeable superabsorber produced by a method comprising: polymerisation of an aqueous monomer solution which contains a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated, acid-group-carrying monomer which optionally is present at least in part as salt, b) at least one crosslinking agent, c) at least one initiator, d) optionally one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers copolymerisable with the monomers described under a), and e) optionally one or more water-soluble polymers; drying the polymer obtained; optionally grinding the dried polymer and sieving the ground polymer; and optionally post crosslinking the surface of the dried and optionally ground and sieved polymer, characterised in that X-ray amorphous aluminium hydroxide powder is added after drying, grinding or sieving, and, if a surface post crosslinking is performed, before, during or after this surface post crosslinking. |
