titleOfInvention Partial volume analysis for magnetic resonance fingerprinting
abstract A method for quantitative magnetic resonance imaging, wherein at least one time series of magnetic resonance images, which are assigned to different times after an excitation, of an examination area is recorded with a magnetic resonance device (1), with at least one fingerprinting evaluation from the time series for at least some of the voxels of the magnetic resonance images temporal signal course is determined from the magnetic resonance data of all magnetic resonance images and to determine at least one result information, the respective signal course is compared with at least one comparison course retrieved from a database (10), wherein for the detection of a target material for which the expected portion compared to the portion at least one other voxel material assumed in at least one interesting voxel of the magnetic resonance images is low, - a first time series of magnetic resonance images are recorded without suppression of the signal of the target material and a second time series with suppression of the signal of the target material, and for the at least one interesting voxel of the magnetic resonance images, by comparing the time series, detection information describing the presence of the target material is determined from at least one result information from at least one of the at least one fingerprinting evaluations.
