abstract The invention provides an agronomic additive to be added to a fertiliser product, wherein the fertiliser includes urea, urease inhibitors, such as N-(n-butyl)thiophosphoric acid triamide (NBTP), acetohydroxamic acid (AHA), cyclohexyl phosphoric triamide (CHPT), thiophosphoryl triamide (TPT), cyclohexyl thiophosphotriamide (CHTPT), phenyl phosphorodiamidiate (PPD/PPDA), phosphorus triamide (PT), thiopyridines, N-halo-2-oxazolidinone or combinations thereof, and biostimulants, such as amino acids, saccharides, humic or fulvic acids, organic acids, yeast extracts, algae extracts and similar and combinations thereof in its formulation, wherein the agronomic additive is a compound with biostatic activity selected from potassium sorbate, potassium propionate, nisin, potassium benzoate and pulcherriminic acid or its iron chelate, pulcherrimin.
