titleOfInvention | A computer implemented method and computer program products for identifying time-frequency features of physiological events |
abstract | A computer implemented method and computer programs for identifying time-frequency features of physiological events are disclosed. The method comprises selecting, by a computing system, some of a set of physiological signals associated with a physiological event, referred as targeted physiological signals, and filtering the targeted signals within defined time-frequency windows; calculating, for each defined time-frequency window, a given feature of each targeted signal limited within the time-frequency window, providing for each window a sample of the feature over all targeted physiological signals; and calculating, for each feature sample, a first quantifier defined directly over the feature sample and comparing the calculated first quantifier with a given threshold, the computing system further selecting the time-frequency windows satisfying the threshold; and/or a second quantifier defined over an empirical distribution of the feature sample and comparing the calculated second quantifier with a given threshold, the computing system further selecting the time-frequency windows satisfying the threshold. |
