The invention relates to at a multi-metal oxide material containing at least Mo, Bi, Fe, Cu and containing one or more than one of the elements Co and Ni and one or more than one of the elements Na, K, Rb and Cs and the use of the multi-metal oxide material as a catalyst in the partial gas phase oxidation of propene to form acrolein and acrylic acid. The multi-metal oxide material is produced in that a fine-particle, intimate dry mixture is created from sources of its elementary constituents and calcined at temperatures of 350°C to 650°C. |
