abstract |
A pathogen inhibitor concentrate for use in an ecosystem. The concentrate comprises particles having a uniform distribution of magnesium hydroxide and magnesium peroxide with a relative molar ratio to control the bioactivity of the concentrate by providing sufficient alkali and reactive oxygen species to meet the requirements of the ecosystem, wherein the requirements of the ecosystem are defined as maintaining an aerobic system, killing pathogenic, anaerobic microbes or producing a sterile ecosystem, and the requirements of the ecosystem are determined based on the redox potential and pH of the ecosystem. At least one of the magnesium hydroxide and the magnesium peroxide make up at least 30% by weight of the concentrate. |
