abstract |
The present invention discloses a device for determining blood volume, comprising: a detector for detecting the spectrum of the blood volume indicator; an intravenous probe for insertion into a blood vessel of a subject; an optical fiber connecting detector (photospectrometer or photodetectors) to the intravenous probe; and a light source (broad spectrum light source, laser diodes, LEDs) for illuminating the blood volume indicator, a method and system for determining total circulating blood volume (BY) using a minimally invasive technique. |
