The invention relates to a method for inducing cell death in a glioblastoma multiforme cancer cell, the method comprising administering to the cell a combination of therapeutic agents comprising: saposin C and dioleoylphosphatidylserine (SapC-DOPS) ), and the AS1411 nucleolin aptamer, cell death of the cancer cell being induced. Also provided are methods of treating glioblastoma multiforme, methods of inhibiting the growth of a glioblastoma multiforme tumor, kits, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising SapC-DOPS and AS1411. |
