The invention relates to a method for preparing a porous membrane comprising a thermoplastic polymer having pores having an average pore diameter, determined by Hg porosimetry according to DIN 66133, <2000 nm, comprising: forming a film blending of at least one thermoplastic polymer (TP1) and at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP1); and extracting the film mixture obtained according to (i) with a mixture of solvents (L1) to obtain the porous membrane; the thermoplastic polymer or polymers (TP1) comprising at least one polyurethane, the polyurethane (PU1) being based on the following components: 11 to 79% by weight of a mixture of at least one diol (D1) and at least one a diisocyanate (11); and 21 to 89% by weight of at least one compound (C1) having two functional groups which are reactive with isocyanate groups. The invention further relates to a porous membrane comprising a thermoplastic polymer having pores having an average pore diameter, determined by Hg porosimetry according to DIN 66133, <2000 nm obtained or obtainable by the process, as well as the membrane porous material comprising a thermoplastic polymer having pores having an average pore diameter, determined by Hg porosimetry according to DIN 66133, <2000 nm, itself. The invention further relates to the use of the porous membrane for coating a woven surface of an article and the use of the porous membrane for an article having no woven layer, and an article comprising the porous membrane. |
