abstract |
In one embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for producing a molten polycarbonate that comprises melt-curing a feed stream in a final polymerization unit to form a polycarbonate stream comprising a polycarbonate; regulating a shear flow rate of a chain shear flow comprising the chain shear agent; and mixing the chain shear flow and the polycarbonate stream to form an adjusted flow comprising a reduced molecular weight polycarbonate. |
