titleOfInvention System and method for preoperative planning for total hip arthroplasty
abstract The present invention relates to planning tools for surgery, particularly HAT. Images of the musculoskeletal structure of a patient (eg associated with the respective planes and in the same functional or different position) can be displayed together and through co-registration and spatial transformations, implants 3D or other objects can be represented and superimposed in the same position correctly with respect to each image. The 3D implant can be adjusted (eg, via handles or automatically using image processing) to an existing implant in the patient and moved to other positions, for example, to measure the position or existing plan for an initial or new position. Measurements can be represented with respect to various planes associated with the respective image and / or with respect to an existing implant.
