abstract | Disclosed herein are compositions for a battery casing battery casing formed from a composition comprising: from about 10 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of a composite comprising a polyester resin and a long glass fiber, wherein the composite comprises from about 25 % to about 70 % long glass fiber based on the total weight of the composite; from about 0.01 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a flame retardant masterbatch; wherein the combined weight percent value of all components does not exceed 100 wt. %, and all weight percent values are based on the total weight of the composition. The composition exhibits a V0 rating at 1.5 mm and 3.0 mm thickness when tested in accordance with UL94. |
