abstract | A system includes a first unit configured to produce and apply radiofrequency (RF) energy to a load positioned in the first unit for a first period of time, the load being at a first temperature at a start of the first time period and at a second temperature different from the first temperature at one end of the first period of time, and a second unit adapted to receive charge at the second temperature and to effect incident heat transfer to the load for a period of time. second period of time different from the first period of time, the charge being at a third temperature at one end of the second period of time.
