The present invention relates to a factor derived from a virus that can enhance the expression of RNA encoding a peptide or protein in cells, when provided to cells, for example, by transfection of cells with the virus. RNA encoding the factor derived from the virus. In particular, the factor derived from the virus improves cell survival, especially when it is repeatedly transfected with RNA, and reduces the IFN response of the cells to the transfected RNA. Therefore, the present invention relates to methods and means for enhancing the expression of RNA in cells. The cells are preferably transfected with the RNA. |
