abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a resin composition for reducing an acetic acid odor that is generated during melt molding of a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-based resin and may remain in a molded product. The resin composition of the present invention contains: a PVA-based resin (A); and a multimeric aldehyde compound (B), wherein a content of the multimeric aldehyde compound (B) is 0.5 x 10<sup>-4</sup>to 100 × 10<sup>-4</sup>parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the PVA-based resin (A).
