abstract |
A fire-retardant surface element has alternating layers (a) of a mineral fiber sheet and (b) a fire protection composition which comprises an organic binder with an intumescent material dispersed therein. The mineral fiber fabrics are fabrics made of unconsolidated basalt fibers. The fire protection compound is a solidified, foamed polymer dispersion with expanded graphite dispersed in it. The fire-retardant surface element has a low density, a good insulating effect at temperatures of 600 ° -1300 ° C and is flexible. |
