abstract An adjustment test method comprising: using a respirator worn by a user; the use of a sensor in electrical communication with a sensing element, the sensor being configured to monitor a parameter of particulate concentration of a gas space within the respirator, and a second parameter of particulate concentration of a gas space outside the respirator, the sensor being attached to the respirator so that the weight of the sensor is supported by the respirator; and using a reader configured to communicate with the sensor, the reader being configured to provide a respirator adjustment parameter based on a comparison between the particulate concentration within the respirator and the concentration parameter particulate matter outside the respirator.
