abstract The invention relates to a device (30) for preparing a liquid sample for a gas chromatograph. The device comprises a liquid space (12) and a gas space (16) separated from each other by a semipermeable separating layer (32). The liquid space (12) comprises a supply line (14) for the liquid sample, and the gas space (16) has an outlet (18) which can be connected to the gas chromatograph. According to the invention, a heating element (34) is associated with the liquid space (12). Due to the interaction of the semipermeable separating layer (20) and the heating element (34), even small amounts of liquid sample can be prepared.
