abstract | An apparatus for relieving intraocular pressure in an eye of a subject that includes a plurality of stents, a delivery vehicle for introducing the stents together through a single incision in the cornea of the eye to a position in the anterior chamber adjacent to a corneoscleral trabecular mesh and an actuator that can be activated from outside the eye to push the stents out of the delivery vehicle and to a plurality of anatomical spaces in the eye from which drain the aqueous humor from the anterior chamber. The invention also relates to methods of using the apparatus for regulating the flow of aqueous humor from the anterior chamber. |
