titleOfInvention Hybrid suture anchor
abstract An anchorage according to the invention comprises an expandable element designed to increase in size from a first predeployed state to a second deployed one; and a filament having a first filament end and a second filament end, and positioned in contacting relation with the expandable member in the second expanded state. The anchor may also include a flat fibrous construction having a first end and a second end, the filament traversing the fibrous construction. The flat fibrous construction comprises a first state in which the flat fibrous construction is uncompressed and extends along the longitudinal axis of the filament when in an unfolded and pre-expanded state; and a second state in which the flat fibrous construction is compressed and extended in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the filament in an expanded state.
