abstract | The object of the present invention is to provide a method for determining tissue insulin sensitivity in a human subject, wherein in a blood sample extracted from a human subject, the following laboratory parameters and the concentrations following proteins in serum are measured: red blood cell count (RBC), alanine aminotransferase (A1AT), peptide C, sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), adiponectin, insulin-like growth factor binding protein 1 (IGFBP1), and on the basis of the results obtained from the measurement, an index of insulin sensitivity is determined.
