The present invention provides lateral flow methods and devices for detecting a plurality of target analytes in a liquid sample. In some embodiments, the lateral flow device of the invention comprises a housing assembly, a capillary flow bed, a sample receiving area, a buffer receiving area, and a capture area. The device is designed to control the flow of sample and reagent buffer sequentially with minimal mixing. In some embodiments, the method of the invention is capable of detecting a plurality of target analytes in an assay by applying binding agents and signaling agents in separate or sequential steps. |
