The invention relates to a surgical instrument comprising a first element comprising a drive engageable with a first coupling surface of a bone fixation. A second member is rotatable relative to the first member and includes an engagement member connectable to a second mating surface of the bone fixation member. An actuator is connected to the second member and includes visual indicia of engagement of the member with the second mating surface.
