abstract | The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition comprising or obtained by mixing a) an aqueous dispersion binding agent comprising copolymers A) and dispersed inorganic solid particles B), wherein the inorganic solid particles B) are selected from the group consisting of fumed silica, colloidal silica, non-delaminated sheet silicates, delaminated sheet silicates and mixtures thereof, wherein the copolymers A) comprise as copolymerized units A1) comonomers having a hydrolyzable silane as functional group wherein said functional group does not act as a chain extender during the copolymerization reaction, and as copolymerized units A2) ethylenically unsaturated comonomers different from comonomers A1); b) an organic binding agent different from binding agent a); c) dispersing agents; d) fillers; e) organic solvents. The invention also provides a coating obtained by application of the aqueous composition, and to the use of the coating composition for the preparation of a coating. |
