abstract | The invention relates to a rosin composition of light or slightly colored rosin or rosin ester. A noticeable improvement in color can be obtained for a weakly colored rosin or a rosin ester using a co-catalyst. According to one embodiment, the cocatalyst has a triplet quantum yield (ɸT) greater than 0.5 and a triplet lifetime (τT) greater than 0.5 microsecond. According to another embodiment, the cocatalyst is chosen from acridone, anthrone, 9-fluorenone, thioxanthone, xanthone, derivatives or combinations thereof. |
