abstract | Provided is an electromagnetic wave shielding member which has high shielding properties against electromagnetic waves in the GHz band and is transmissive to electromagnetic waves in the ultraviolet region to the mid-infrared region. The electromagnetic wave shielding member of the present invention is an electromagnetic wave shielding member including a metal foil formed with a plurality of through-holes penetrating therethrough in a thickness direction, in which the through-holes have an average opening diameter of 1 µm to 100 µm and an average opening ratio of 1% to 50%; in a case where the average opening diameter of the through-holes is 1 µm to 1.5 µm, the transmittance with respect to electromagnetic waves up to a wavelength of half the length of the opening diameter of the through-holes from the ultraviolet region to the visible region is 10% or more of the opening ratio; in a case where the opening diameter of the through-holes is 1.5 µm to 5 µm, the transmittance with respect to electromagnetic waves from the ultraviolet region to the visible region is in a range of -5% to +5% of the opening ratio of the through-holes, and the transmittance with respect to electromagnetic waves up to a wavelength of half the length of the opening diameter of the through-holes in the near-infrared region is 10% or more of the opening ratio; and in a case where the opening diameter of the through-holes is 5 µm or more, the transmittance with respect to electromagnetic waves from the ultraviolet region to the near-infrared region is in a range of -5% to +5% of the opening ratio of the through-holes, and the transmittance with respect to electromagnetic waves up to a wavelength of half the length of the opening diameter of the through-holes in the mid-infrared region is 10% or more of the average opening ratio. |
