titleOfInvention Detection of signal path effects in the measurement of bioelectric signals
abstract Fault detection devices (40; 41; 42) for detecting signal path defects (D) in a voltage measurement system (1) for measuring bioelectric signals (BS) with a number of payload paths (6a; 6b) and a signal measurement circuit (2) are described and incorporated herein such voltage measuring system (1). The error detection devices (40, 41, 42) have at least the following components: at least one current application unit (31), wherein the current application unit (31) is designed such that it impresses a signal (I E1 ; I E2 )) on a first useful signal path (6a; 6b), - At least a first comparison unit (32) which checks whether the signal of the first Nutzsignalpfads (6a, 6b) is within a measuring range at least one first interference signal path (7S) for measuring a first interference signal (I RLD ) and a signal path defect analysis unit (30) which is designed to detect a signal path defect (D) in a useful signal path (6a; 6b) of the voltage measurement system (1) if the impressed signal (I E1 ; I E2 ) is not present on the first interference signal path (7S) is measured and the checked signal of the comparison unit (32) is within the measuring range.n n n In addition, corresponding methods for the detection of signal path defects (D) in a voltage measuring system (1) for the measurement of bioelectric signals (BS) are explained.
