Dialysis system having trending and alert generation |
abstract |
A dialysis system is described. The system comprises: a dialysis machine (104) that is configured to perform a prescribed dialysis treatment on a patient, generate ultrafiltration ("UF") removed data over the prescribed dialysis treatment, and transmit the UF removed data. The system also comprises a receiver (122) that is communicatively coupled to the dialysis machine (104) and coded with at least one of an address or a personal identification number ("PIN"). The receiver is configured to receive data from a blood pressure monitor (124) or a weight scale (126) wirelessly over a frequency, data rate, or communication protocol. The at least one coded address or PIN is provided with the data sent from the blood pressure monitor (124) or the weight scale (126) to the receiver (122) and the receiver (122) is configured to compare the at least one coded address or PIN to the coded address or PIN provided with the data to ensure that the data is received and processed by the receiver (122) as opposed to extraneous data. |
