abstract The present invention concerns an intraoral device for creating a sensation of contact between teeth, the device being designed to be applied to the superior or inferior dental arch of a user and comprising a contact means (20, 20') designed to be associated with at least one portion of one to four posterior teeth (D1) of the superior or inferior dental arch, the device (10) being designed to create a sensation of contact for the user by means of the contact between the contact means (20, 20') and at least one portion of the dental arch opposite the at least one portion of one to four posterior teeth (D1), providing an intraoral device that is accessible and practical for users and that does not hinder users' oral function when the device is used when awake. The present invention also comprises a method for applying the device that enables the user to apply the device without the assistance of a specialized professional, and a method for determining the thickness of the aforementioned device.
