The present invention aims at providing a novel dibenzopyrromethene borone chelate compound having an absorption band in a near-infrared light region, and having a B-O chelate structure due to a thiophene ring, as well as a near-infrared light absorbing material, a thin film, and an organic electronics device using the dibenzopyrromethene borone chelate compound.In other words, the present invention is a compound represented by the following formula (1):wherein Xto Xin the above formula (1) are each independently of one another a sulfur atom, a carbon atom having a hydrogen atom, or a carbon atom having a substituent R, and the substituent Rrepresents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an aromatic group, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, a nitro group, a substituted amino group, an unsubstituted amino group, a cyano group, a sulfo group, an acyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an alkylsulfamoyl group, a carbamoyl group, or an alkylcarbamoyl group; and adjacent groups of Xto Xmay be connected to each other to form a ring structure. |
