abstract The present invention relates to a device and to a method for preparing a sample likely to contain at least one target microorganism, said method comprising the following steps: a) placing said sample in a container (1) comprising: - a device (99) for the capture and/or concentration of a target microorganism or of protein originating from said microorganism, comprising a capture and/or concentration support (104); - a receptacle (3) comprising: · an inlet orifice (31); · an inlet fluid guide (32); · at least one means for controlling the volume of sample that is transferred from the fluid guide to the capture and/or concentration device through said inlet orifice; · an outlet orifice (33), said capture/concentration device being fixed to a wall of the receptacle; b) generating a displacement of all or part of the sample (4) towards the fluid guide (32); c) generating a displacement of a defined volume of the sample from the fluid guide towards the capture and/or concentration device (99); d) capturing and/or concentrating, on the capture and/or concentration support, said target microorganism or a protein originating from said microorganism, said volume of the sample passing through the capture and/or concentration support (104) then exiting through the outlet orifice (33) of the receptacle (3).
