abstract Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE, ultra-reliability and low latency, and large-scale device communication. A method for providing an emergency service according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving an emergency message; analyzing the received emergency message and extracting emergency-related information therefrom; acquiring emergency notification content, which corresponds to the extracted emergency-related information, among a plurality of emergency notification contents pre-stored in an electronic device; and providing the acquired emergency notification content. In addition, other embodiments are possible in the present disclosure.
