Implantable drug delivery devices (1100, 1200, 1300) are provided, comprising: a drug reservoir (1102, 1202, 1302) having an elongated shape with two opposed ends; a drug loaded in the drug reservoir; and a retention structure operably associated with the drug reservoir, wherein the retention structure comprises a two-part fastening or locking device having each of its two parts (1130, 1132, 1230, 1232, 1330, 1332) positioned respectively at each of the opposed ends of the drug reservoir, wherein the two-parts are configured to be connected together to maintain the drug delivery device in a retention shape. |
