titleOfInvention Mri transfer station and dock
abstract The present disclosure relates to a transfer station adapted for use in association with an MR scanner (102) for neonatal infants. The transfer station comprises a moveable patient table (130) having an MR-compatible patient bed (120) attached to the top of said patient table. Further, the patient bed is sized and positioned to extend a patient into an imaging volume of the MR scanner. The patient table further comprises an extending mechanism causing the patient bed (120) to be extended and at least partially project from the patent table (130). The transfer station comprises also a latching mechanism (124) releasably attaching the patient table (130) to a patient table docking assembly (140), wherein said docking assembly moves the patient bed toward and away from the imaging volume of the MR scanner.
