abstract |
A method for purification of at least one protein target compound from a cell culture harvest comprising said at least one protein target compound as well as impurities, said method comprising the following steps in given order: na) at least one step for removal of insoluble impurities from the initial cell culture harvest; nb) at least one further initial cell culture harvest pre-treatment step for removal of anionic soluble impurities from the cell culture harvest; nc) separation of the at least one protein target compound from the cell culture harvest by means of affinity chromatography, nwith the proviso that the order steps a) and b) can be reversed or that the steps a) and b) are carried out in one device, nand with the proviso that further pre-treatment steps can be carried out before the terminal step c) of affinity chromatography separation. |
