The medical apparatus (100) comprises: an elongate tubular body (110) having a proximal end (112), an opening (113) at the proximal end, and a distal end (114); and a filter assembly (120) comprising a base member (124) and a filter membrane (122) disposed within a body of the base member (124), wherein the base member (124) is configured with an engaging member to engage the distal end (114) of the elongate tubular body (110) so that the filter assembly (120) is detachable from the elongate tubular body (110), and wherein the filter membrane and the base member (124) are sectionable for mounting on a slide for analysis on a microscope. |
