Endotracheal tube for nerve monitoring |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a device (1) for monitoring electromyographic signals of a subject's laryngeal muscles and laryngeal nerves comprising an endotracheal tube (2) extending along a longitudinal axis and having an exterior surface and an internal surface (21), at least two conductive electrodes (3) coupled to the external surface of the endotracheal tube (2), where the at least two conductive electrodes (3) comprise a conductive layer deposited on a flexible polymer layer and are configured to receive electromyographic signals from laryngeal muscles and nerves when the endotracheal tube is placed in the trachea of the subject. |
