The present invention relates to a method for differentiating, transdifferentiating or reprogramming a cell by contacting a cell with a compound as defined in the present invention. The invention further relates to said compounds as defined in the present invention for use in the treatment of osteoporosis, bone fracture, osteonecrosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spondylosis, anterior lumbar fusion or long bone fracture and to a method for determining bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) mimetic activity of a compound of interest. |
