abstract |
The present invention provides a method for detecting a microorganism in a sample, the method comprising: a) filtering a sample through a filter to entrap one or more microorganisms present in the sample; b) treating the filter to release genomic DNA from the one or more entrapped microorganisms; c) amplifying the genomic DNA released from the one or more microorganisms; and d) identifying specific regions of the genomic DNA to identify the presence or absence of one or more microorganisms. |
