titleOfInvention Absorbent article
abstract The present invention provides an absorbent article using a cotton-containing nonwoven fabric as a surface sheet. The absorbent article causes hardly any discomfort, such as the feeling of being wet or sweaty, to a wearer thereof, and hardly causes skin irritation. In the absorbent article according to the present invention, a surface sheet (2) thereof is a nonwoven fabric which comprises at least two fiber layers including a first fiber layer (201) composed of cotton and thermoplastic resin fibers and a second fiber layer (202) composed of hydrophobic thermoplastic resin fibers. The nonwoven fabric is provided with: multiple protrusions (11) that protrude in the direction of a first surface (2a); and multiple recesses (12) that are each disposed between adjacent protrusions (11) so as to be indented in the direction of a second surface (2b), wherein the protrusions (11) each have a void part (14) opposite to the second surface (2b), and the nonwoven fabric exhibits weak acidity at least in the protrusions (11).
